Highland Park House offers luxury, family owned and run Bed & Breakfast, in this imposing Victorian mansion. Our delicious full Scottish breakfasts are individually prepared to order, using many local ingredients. The eggs may well be laid by our very own team of Highland Park chickens and if the ducks are in the mood, they also contribute!
There are six guest rooms; three have en suite facilities, one has a private bathroom, and two share a bathroom. The rooms are furnished to suit the house, with items such as Victorian iron and brass bedsteads and art nouveau wardrobes. ROOM 1: The Tower Room ( double en suite)
A lovely, bright room with a Victorian double bed, situated in the centre of the tower. Windows with window seats to two sides and views over Kirkwall to Wideford Hill and Weyland Bay.
ROOM 2: The Major’s Room (twin en suite)
A large, comfortable room with two single beds and period furnishings. Window seat with views over Kirkwall and the Highland Park Distillery to Wideford Hill.
ROOM 3: Mary Grant’s Room (standard double )
This is a large, bright room with a double bed. Wide windows with window seats enjoying views to Wideford Hill and Weyland Bay. This room shares a new shower room close by with just one other single room.
ROOM 4: The Corner Room (standard single)
A bright, spacious single room with a 4’ Victorian iron bedstead. Tall window with window seat. This room shares a new shower room close by with Room 3.
ROOM 5: The South Wing Room (double with private bathroom)
An elegant, spacious, bright, dual aspect room with views over open farmland to the south. This room has a double bed, and a beautiful private bathroom with shower over full tub next door.
ROOM 6: The West Wing Room ( double en suite)
A spacious, bright room at the west end of the house. This room has a double bed and dual aspect views over the gardens to Wideford Hill and Weyland Bay.
